A PowerBI Five Minute Quick Start

The PowerBI software is available from Microsoft for free for personal use at the time of writing. There are two ways to use PowerBI: the desktop software or as a web service; the desktop software is only available for Windows users, while other systems can access almost all of the desktop functionality via a browser using the service.

As PowerBI is being constantly improved, new versions are published monthly, the slides and videos in this course may have slightly different user interfaces to your version of the software. However, the principles and visualization methods will be the same, or very similar, for other PowerBI versions and any visualization toolset you wish to try.
