These web pages have been created to be a resource on stereoscopic displays and applications. They describe the results of a wide range of research work in stereoscopic imaging, much of it from the staff and students of the Durham Visualization Laboratory (DVL).
DVL was established in 2004 by Dr Nick Holliman, a senior faculty member at Durham University. DVL hosts projects that rigorously investigate the theory, applications and human factors of 3D displays, funded from a wide range of government and commerical sources. Prior to joining Durham Dr Holliman was part of the Sharp Corporation three-dimensional display project at Sharp Laboratories of Europe Ltd, Oxford, England.
